Château Brane-Cantenac

APPELLATION : MARGAUX

Producing the finest fruit demands a unique exchange between man and nature, founded on a deep understanding of the land itself, built over centuries of experience. Famous for its deep, mineral-rich gravel soils, Brane holds some of the finest plots in Margaux. Sited on a celebrated plateau, its topography provides excellent natural drainage while its gravelly soils compel the vine roots to seek nourishment deep in the earth. The legend of Brane-Cantenac, born 300 years ago, tells of a flourishing relationship between man and land.

GOOD TO KNOW

Since 2007, Henri Lurton has replanted a small number of Carmenère vines (a historic Bordeaux variety almost extinct in the region) on the estate. This unique ampelographic preservation approach sets Brane-Cantenac apart among the great growths of Margaux.
