Zéphirine

MICHELIN GUIDE: ★

What sets Zéphirine apart from every other table in Bordeaux is its uncompromising refusal of the à la carte format. Chef Romain Corbière, formerly executive chef at the InterContinental, created an “urban inn” where dining is participatory: shared starters, dishes narrated by the hosts themselves, and an open kitchen visible via a pass-through counter. The adjacent fine grocer’s extends the experience beyond the meal. Michelin-starred yet genuinely accessible, from €30 at lunch, €69 for the evening set, this is also, quite literally, a family venture: the chef runs it with his sister and brother-in-law.
