Café Lavinal was born of Jean-Michel Cazes’s vision: to bring life to the Bages hamlet, a stone’s throw from Château Lynch-Bages, around a welcoming and accessible hub. The result is a village bistrot with the authentic charm of the 1930s, bordeaux-red moleskin banquettes, zinc bar, retro décor, where guests come for Pauillac lamb, Arcachon Bay monkfish or goose magret, accompanied by Cazes family wines served by the glass. Under a Médoc-born chef with rigorous local sourcing, this is the accessible table par excellence of the Haut-Médoc, within a village rebuilt as an ode to Bordeaux’s art de vivre.
