Château La Conseillante

APPELLATION : POMEROL

Pomerol is a plateau gently descending towards the Isle valley. Its clays have the remarkable ability to retain water and release it to the vines during drier seasons, a soil characteristic concentrated almost exclusively in Pomerol and very rare elsewhere in the Bordeaux vineyard. La Conseillante owes its singularity to its position straddling both Pomerol and Saint-Émilion soils. The 12-hectare vineyard encompasses four different soil types across sixteen parcels, the oldest of which was planted in 1958, with clays to the north-east and gravels to the south-west.

GOOD TO KNOW

Since 2016, La Conseillante has held ISO 14001 and HVE 3 certification. Over 80% of the products used are organic or biocontrol-based. The estate also practises biodynamics and phytotherapy to maintain the natural balance of its vineyard.
