Château La Croizille

APPELLATION : SAINT-EMILION

This family estate has a winery of remarkable contemporary architecture meeting the latest technical requirements, including a tasting area overlooking the valley that offers a panoramic view of the vineyard. The single-block vineyard on the clay-limestone slopes forms a natural amphitheatre carved into the limestone, offering multiple orientations. The soils overlying the bedrock are of extraordinary variety: from pure limestone to clay-limestone, plus marls and blue and red clays.

GOOD TO KNOW

La Croizille’s blend is particularly unusual for Saint-Émilion: Cabernet Sauvignon can reach up to 50% in certain vintages, breaking with the Merlot-dominant tradition. The estate works with around ten different coopers, ageing each grape variety in five to seven distinct barrels in equal proportions.
