What La Table du Lavoir celebrates is the memory of the place. At the room’s centre stands a washhouse reconstructed stone by stone, in tribute to the winegrowers’ wives who laundered there in the 19th century. The ceiling beams were salvaged from the cellars of Château Lafite Rothschild. In counterpoint to the double-starred Grand’ Vigne, La Table du Lavoir embodies Les Sources de Caudalie’s more accessible offer: generous, family-style cooking, well-executed classics, a bucolic terrace. Lunch or dinner here allows you to enjoy the estate’s exceptional setting at a reasonable price. Château Smith Haut Lafitte wines are served by the glass.
