La Terrasse Rouge

What immediately identifies La Terrasse Rouge is its architecture: Jean Nouvel designed a monumental terrace clad in a pool of red pebbles, perched above the cellars of Château La Dominique, immediate neighbour to Cheval Blanc and Petrus. The reflections shift with light and season, like the estate’s red wine whose vaults extend beneath the dining room. The South-West-rooted cuisine, foie gras, Bazas beef, Pauillac lamb, Blaye asparagus, is served against one of Saint-Émilion’s most spectacular panoramas. The lunch menu offers remarkable value for such a setting.
